GENERAL APPLICATIONS

Forest Lite Type 2 is a single jacket, polyurethane-lined lightweight hose intended for use in wildland fire suppression

CONSTRUCTION

Lining – The thermoplastic extruded PU interior lining shall be a single-ply extruded tube and shall be unaffected by ozone. The finished form shall be free of pits or other imperfections and shall have a smooth finish. No reclaimed material shall be used.

Jacket Construction – The jacket is a combination of 100% virgin synthetic high tenacity virgin synthetic yarn and spun yarn. The jacket is thoroughly impregnated with a polymer compound, yellow in color, to provide superior resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and ultraviolet light. Hose shall be firm in texture, flexible, and free from knots, lumps, and irregularities. The jacket shall be treated to be resistant to mildew.
